Los Angeles opens COVID-19 vaccine programming for residents over the age of 16

LOS ANGELES (KABC) – Los Angeles has opened COVID-19 vaccine programming to all residents 16 years of age and older.

On Saturday, the city’s COVID-19 vaccine registration website showed an option for people over the age of 16 to book an appointment at city-administered vaccination sites.

The change to the city’s website comes days before California is officially extended for vaccine eligibility to residents in that age group.

State-level eligibility currently allows people over the age of 50 to receive an appointment with the vaccine. California residents aged 16 and over will officially become eligible on April 15, but other local municipalities have opted to open it earlier, including Long Beach.
