LeBron James is another important step in climbing the NBA all-time scoring list.
In the first half of Thursday’s game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets, James became the third player in league history to score 35,000 points, joining Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone.
Abdul-Jabbar is at the top of the all-time list with 38,387 points, and Malone has 36,928. This season, James needs just over 3,300 points to catch Abdul-Jabbar. In each season of his career, James scored at least 1,500 points and topped 2,000 points in a season 10 times.
