Sorry, folks, another game has been postponed. This time it is Lord of the Rings: Gollum – a story-based action-adventure game based on JRR Tolkien’s epic fantasy novels.
The game was unveiled for Switch and other multiple platforms in August last year and, instead of reaching 2021, has now been pushed back to 2022. NACON has now joined Daedalic Entertainment as co-editor and will take responsibility for distributing the game.
The two companies are also joining forces to ensure that this upcoming release will live up to the expectations of fans of The Lord of the Rings and, in addition, to take full advantage of the power of next-generation consoles.
Both sides promise to “faithfully represent” this classic universe, thanks to the partnership with Middle-earth enterprises. In the game, you take control of Gollum. Here’s what to expect:
“Start a dangerous journey like Gollum, following the only thing that is precious to him. Climb, jump and sneak in the face of dangers or in advantageous places. Gollum is clever and cunning, but also broken by his divided personality. To decide whether the dark side of Gollum takes over or if there is still a spark of reason in what was once Sméagol. “
