London Bridge Station reopens after investigating suspicious objects

Central London’s London Bridge station reopened on Wednesday afternoon after it was evacuated while police investigated reports of a suspicious object on board a train, a Reuters eyewitness said.

Police were called to the busy commuter center at 11.33 GMT following reports of a suspicious object on board a train, a spokeswoman for the British Transport Police said.

The station was closed as a precaution while specialist officers assessed the object.

South and Southeast train operators said on Twitter that trains do not stop at the station.

“All lines are expected to reopen shortly after emergency services dealt with an incident at London Bridge,” Southern said in a statement.
