Loaders ask to interview Jason Garrett in search of the bus

Jason Garrett is back on the NFL coaching staff.

The Chargers, who fired coach Anthony Lynn on Monday, called for an interview with the Giants offensive coordinator for the vacancy. according to the NFL Network.

Garrett, 54, spent 10 seasons as Cowboys head coach before being brought back after last season. He went 85-67, but only made three playoff appearances before joining Joe Judge’s team this season. Garrett has experience mentoring young defenders such as Dak Prescott and Daniel Jones. The Chargers have one of the NFL’s most prominent young men in Justin Herbert.

Garrett’s departure as head coach could make one of the Giants’ toughest off-season decisions for them. It is speculated that the team could pass Garrett after leading an offense that ranked second in the NFL in total yards and points scored just before the Jets. It also didn’t help Jones make the leap forward into the second season.

The Jets asked to interview Patrick Graham, the Giants’ defensive coordinator.
