Not all heroes wear capes, so let’s say hello to Lizzo for doing what few are brave enough to do: slip into Chris Evans’ DMs.
The “Truth hurts” singer, who showed that Captain America is far and away his favorite Chris from Hollywood, revealed that once, drunk, he sent a message to the actor on Instagram.
Lizzo’s DM, who entered Evans’ e-mail box hilarious at 5:22 p.m., contained three simple “💨🤾🏾♀️🏀” emojis, probably to convey the photo’s message.
“Don’t drink DM, kids … for legal porpoises, this is a joke,” she wrote alongside a TikTok post distributed on Saturday.
In the video, Lizzo synchronizes with a TikTok sound by Tatayanna Mitchell, in front of his one-sided conversation with Evans. “The reason I’m upset is that I know I won’t be able to marry him and it honestly hurts me to the end,” she said, leaning closer to the room. “Because damn father, he is a rare breed, without comparison. Like, Chris … ”
The “Avengers” star has not yet responded or even seen Lizzo’s DM when she posted the video. But these two share a story of mutual admiration, so maybe Evans just takes his time.
In 2019, the actor redistributed a video of a young woman dancing to Lizzo’s hit song “Juice”, writing: “This child is cooler than I could ever hope to be.”
The Grammy-winning singer took a decidedly more direct approach in a follow-up tweet, writing to Evans: “Wow marry me” with an emoji on her shoulders.
Joking about their interaction at the MTV Movie Awards later that month, Lizzo said he was “going home” after discovering that Evans was not attending the ceremony.
“Damn, no,” she said when asked if Evans ever responded to her tweet. “It’s Chris Evans. Do not answer. If he answered, I wouldn’t be here right now. I would be on my honeymoon. ”
If Evans ever checks his DMs, it could be a power couple in the making, as both stars are apparently alone at the moment.
He was last linked to British actor Lily James, while Lizzo made his relationship clear with a naughty Instagram last month.
