President Trump announced Saturday night that he would host a “big rally” for Republican sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue in Georgia will love.
“ As bad as we were treated in Georgia by the ‘Republican’ Governor and ‘Republican’ Secretary of State, we must have a huge victory for two wonderful people, [Loeffler and Perdue]Trump wrote on Twitter. “I will have a big rally for them on January 5th on Monday evening January 4th. WIN!”
Trump has not yet admitted defeat in the 2020 presidential election and has alleged widespread voter fraud in Georgia and other states where the results were in Biden’s favor. Trump and his surrogates have criticized the way Georgia Republican leaders, including Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and Governor Brian Kemp, handled the election.
Loeffler and Perdue are challenged by Democratic Senate candidates Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock.
