“We have a trade” …
GM Lions Brad Holmes pulls off a deal to aggressively land the quarterback of the future in Detroit. In consultation with Dolphins Wire publisher Kyle Crabbs, we have established the following offer:
Lions trades no. 7 in general, no. 101 overall (third rounder purchased from the Rams) and a first-round pick in 2022 (whichever is higher, Lions hold or Rams) to Miami for No. 3 overall and Miami pick in the seventh round in 231st place (purchased from Houston).
He climbs to get Trey Lance, the early quarterback of the state of North Dakota with high potential, but limited experience. Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields were off the table here. Lance lands in Detroit, where he has time to learn and grow behind Jared Goff for a year (or two) without being thrown into battle before he’s ready.
And because you want to know … Miami takes Kyle Pitts (favorite) or Ja’Marr Chase in 7th place.
