Liga MX, benefited from the cancellation of the Conmebol qualification date

The MX League contributed 19 players to Conmebol’s tie, however, after the cancellation, only six will participate in friendly duels

In the last FIFA match, Liga MX contributed 19 players to the Conmebol teams, a confederation that has suspended its qualifying round for Qatar 2022 due to Covid-19, a situation that benefits Mexican football, because now there will be only six footballers who will participate in the calls of the South American teams to play friendly.

Conmebol decides to cancel World Cup qualifiers scheduled for March FIFA due to logistical problems that would exist in different countries where their footballers are active. However, there will be two training duels between the South American teams in which MX League players will be present: Chile vs. Bolivia, next Friday, March 26 and Ecuador vs. Bolivia, Monday 29 of the same month.

Chile summoned Sebastián Vegas, from Monterrey, and Jean Meneses, from León, two less compared to the last FIFA Date, which was played in November 2019, in which, in addition to those mentioned above, were also Jean Meneses and Claudio Baeza.

On the other hand, Ecuador remains with four players in the MX League: Félix Torres (Santos), Michael Estrada (Toluca), Ángel Martínez (León) and Fidel Martínez (Tijuana), of which the novelty is the attacker of Xolos, because in November his place was taken by Renato Ibarra, current Atlas footballer.

Bolivia, a team that will face Chile and Ecuador, respectively, had Alejandro Chumacero as the only representative of Mexican football at FIFA in November, when the footballer was active in Puebla. However, he is now meeting the Spanish Union.

Four months ago, Liga MX contributed 19 players to the Conmebol teamsOf these, Ecuador and Chile stand out with four representatives each, followed by three from Paraguay and Peru. Colombia had two “Mexicans”, while Uruguay, Venezuela and Bolivia named one team each.
