LG today announced the worldwide launch of its 2021 range of soundbars, complete with AirPlay 2 support for wireless audio streaming from Apple devices such as the iPhone, iPad and Mac. Soundbars also support Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

All 2021 soundbars support both Dolby Atmos and DTS: X surround sound formats, while the “AI Camera Calibration” feature promises optimal sound in any environment, using space awareness technology to measure the size of a room and customize the audio settings of the soundbar. Consequently. Many of the new models are also Hi-Res Audio certified for lossless 24-bit / 96kHz playback.
The new range includes models SP11RA, SP9YA, SP8YA, SP7Y and SPD7Y, with additional models coming later this year. Availability will begin this month in key markets in North America and Europe, but prices have not been revealed.
