Jins today launched a new line of Pokémon-themed glasses and blue light blockers. The collection, launched in partnership with Pokémon Company, will include frames for children and adults in a variety of patterns and colors specific to fans’ favorite Pokémon.

Starting this week, consumers will be able to choose from three sets of “models” – the Flagship Model, the Johto Region Model and the Children’s Model – each with their distinct styles. In early 2021, Jins will also introduce the Kanto region model, as well as several design options for the Johto region model.

Each pair of frames has a subtle sign to one of a handful of beloved Pokémon. For example, the frames in the Flagship collection are themed Pikachu, Eevee, Snorlax and Mew. The Pikachu frames in this collection have such light temple notches and Pikachu tail-shaped tips. Another pair has small Snorlax-shaped legs at the tips. Each frame design comes in several colors, with 16 possible options in each collection for adults and four total options for children.

The details of Pokémon are not completely obvious when the glasses are on your face, which I appreciated after spending a few weeks with two models from the Flagship set. (Yes, you can absolutely wear these things to work without posing as a hardcore stan Pokémon.) I also appreciated that even a pair of Mew-themed wire looked pretty durable – pretty much on par with my normal pair of Warby Parker wire.

Pokémon heads are also present in other details in the included cases and in the cleaning cloth. The Flagship line, for example, comes in a light brown faux leather case with an engraved Poké ball at the end and a green interior specific to the collection. Meanwhile, the included canvas is printed with a Poké ball pixelated on one side.

The flagships will be retailed for $ 140, while glasses in the Kanto and Johto region will be retailed for $ 120. Frames for children will cost $ 100. The collection of glasses will be available starting today through Jins online store.
