The President of the Popular Force, Leonel Fernández and his son Omar, visited him at the residence of the Secretary General of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Reinaldo Pared Pérez.
Pared Pérez, thanking the visit, said they felt very welcome. The meeting was also attended by Reinaldo’s wife, Ingrid Mendoza, who continued to support the presidential aspirations of the former PLD president, after his resignation from that organization.

At the end of March, Pared Pérez announced that he had been diagnosed with esophageal cancer, for which he underwent treatment abroad.
He is currently recovering at home.
