In what will probably become one of the smartest marketing campaigns in recent memory, it has begun to suggest that Luigi will get his own set after a recent firmware update. In a tweet spotted by , a Twitter user named Jay Phoenix in which the mustachioed plumber calls his brother after he wakes up. “Luigi. Luigi? Luigi! Says the toy.
All signs indicate that Lego has launched a Luigi set in the near future. “Now it’s a very creative way to take the missing brother,” the company said in response to someone who asked about the update. “I noticed that Lego Mario started calling him, we are looking for him and we hope to be clear about why he is coming soon. Stay tuned! 🙂 “In one of the after Phoenix’s post, someone named Jin states, “I work in retail and we have an established reference for Luigi Starter dated August 1.”
It would also not be a surprise to see Lego adding more models to the Super Mario range. Since it first appeared with this line, the company has expanded it to make it easier to create your own courses. And the concept of allowing people to create physical levels of Mario Maker seems to have given a deal to both Nintendo and Lego fans.
