In original Left 4 Dead, there were four survivors: Francis, Bill, Louis and Zoey. However, anyone reading the game’s wiki will believe that there is actually a fifth member of the cast: Purple Francis.
Like digging from @thinkiamsad showed up over the weekend, user Lucythorkelson logged in to the wiki on February 12 and left for the city, creating the character (complete with his own biography), then faced the trouble of flipping through the rest of the pages and giving up occasional mentions of him alongside by other survivors to make it appear that he had always been there.
In the elevator, Zoey asks Purple Francis if she likes monster movies, which Purple Francis says aren’t so good. Zoey, when she hears this, mutters to herself and turns her gaze angrily. When Zoey dies, Purple Francis is less saddened by her death, stating that “she’s the kind to hold a grudge,” referring to Purple Francis’ diminishing pleasure after his commentary on monster movies. Fans see this as a prediction of Zoey’s disgust with Bill’s actions The Sacrifice Comic, however Valve said it was simply a coincidence. When Purple Francis dies, Zoey claims that he was a great man and regrets that he acted badly towards him because of what he said in the monster movies.
Defaming a wiki is usually a tedious pain in the ass, but it can get behind it when it exceeds this level of universe building.
