About five months after its premiere, new images were unveiled on Saturday about what will be the sequel to Space Jam 2: A New Legacy, starring LeBron James in the lead role of the Los Angeles Lakers.
In the photos that James later shared during the day, the future Hall of Fame can be seen in the background, along with the film’s co-star, the famous cartoon Bugs Bunny. “Come on! In just a few months. I’m so excited about this project. I can’t wait,” James wrote.
James also unveiled the new “Tune Squad” uniform in August. The turquoise blue and orange back features the legendary “Looney Tunes” logo. In addition, it confirms that the former member of the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers will use the number “6”.
Space Jam 2 will be released on July 16, 2021 by Warner Bros., almost 25 years after the original with Michael Jordan.
