LeBron James becomes the second best scorer in the Christmas games

Angels – LeBron James analyzed the statistics just as he was leaving the Staples Center court. Then he realized that the Lakers had 138 points, of which only 22 contributed.

The defending champions need to improve, but they have already won this season. And James matched a record.

He became the second scorer in the NBA’s Christmas games during Friday’s game, a 138-115 victory in Los Angeles over the Dallas Mavericks.

Anthony Davis had 28 points, while Montrezl Harrell had 22, including 17 in the second half. Dennis Shröder had 18 points and six assists in the second consecutive remarkable performance for both players, who recently joined the Lakers, the NBA monarchs.

Los Angeles beat Dallas 53-27 in recovering its first win of the season due to its dominant performance in the fourth quarter.

“We have the ability to have four or maybe five players who can score about 20 points every night,” James said. “As long as we defend ourselves and are efficient, it’s very nice to see.”

Luka Doncic totaled 27 points and seven assists when he played in his first major holiday season event for Dallas. Josh Richardson and Trey Burke had 17 points each, and the Mavs started the season 0-2.

“You can’t win a game if you go 35-0 in points at the second chance to shoot,” Doncic said. “It’s so easy.”

James came in second, behind Kobe Bryant, on the list of players with the most Christmas points. He passed Oscar Robertson in the third period.

The star has 383 points in 15 Christmas games, while Bryant had 395 in 16 games.
