Ahead of next Tuesday’s Apple “Spring Springed” event, we’re still trying to get a clear picture of what Apple might be announcing. This weekend, reliable Twitter source L0vetodream cryptically suggested that Apple will announce new iMac models during the April 20 event.
On Twitter, this morning, L0vetodream posted a picture of the artwork invited by Apple for the April 20 event, along with a picture of the G3 iMac line in all its colors. In particular, this comes after the previous L0vetodream posted on Twitter an image of the event invitation with the caption “enjoy these colors”.
Jon Prosser previously reported that the new Apple iMacs will be available in a range of colors similar to the iPad Air from 2020. L0vetodream’s recent tweets seem to confirm this and suggest that at least one model will be announced next week.
Apple is in the midst of transitioning the iMac range to Apple Silicon, and the iMac is expected to be the next in progress. In addition to Apple Silicon and new colors, the iMac is expected to have a complete redesign. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported in January that the redesigned iMac will have a design inspired by the Pro Display XDR. The report described the new iMac as “one of the biggest visual updates of any Apple product this year.”
As part of the redesign, the display sizes in the iMac range are expected to increase from 21.5 inches to 24 inches and from 27 inches to 30 inches or 32 inches. Rumors have it that the redesigned 24-inch iMac could be announced ahead of the 30-inch iMac rumor.
