HOUSTON – After Houston lawyer Tony Buzbee said in an Instagram post on Tuesday night that he had filed a lawsuit against Deshaun Watson, the Texan defender issued a statement saying he was looking forward to deleting his name.
Watson responded to the word of the trial on Twitter, saying he had rejected “a six-digit request for a settlement” and that it was “deleting my name and I look forward to doing so.”
Buzbee did not specify the allegations against Watson in his post, but referred to his behavior with women and later told FOX 26 in Houston that “Watson went too far” with a woman who was giving him a massage.
“I have never treated a woman with anything other than the utmost respect,” Watson said in a statement.
Buzbee is well-known throughout the Houston area for his law firm and failed 2019 campaign against Mayor Sylvester Turner.
