While fans wait to see Lashanna Lynch and Daniel Craig in James Bond’s new film No Time To Die, Lynch has found her next role.
The 33-year-old actress is in the final stages of starring in the adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Netflix to Matilda, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The production has not yet found the young actress to play the main character and there is no indication as to when filming can begin.

The musical follows an early 5-year-old girl who discovers that she has telekinetic powers, which she uses to protect her friends and turn the tables on the aggressors.
Lynch portrays Miss Honey, described as “a kind teacher who encourages Matilda and her gifts.”
While Matilda has not yet been cast, Ralph Fiennes has been attached to play Mrs. Trunchbull, continuing a tradition of male characters portraying the director.

The character was played by a woman in the 1996 film adaptation, starring Pam Ferris, but the musical always featured a male actor in the role of Trunchbull, including Bertie Cavell, Bryce Ryness, Craige Els, and Craig Bierko who even intervened as a replacement on Broadway.
The role of Miss Honey is also a significant change, with the role played by white women.
Embeth Davidtz played the teacher in the 1996 film adaptation, starring Lauren Ward, Jennifer Bowles and Carly Thoms in the stage musical.

He will work from an adapted screenplay by original stage playwright Dennis Kelly, and Tim Minchin returns to provide original music and lyrics.
