Lana Del Rey shared the video for her new song “Chemtrails Over the Country Club”, the lead track for her upcoming album. She also revealed the release date of the album; came out on March 19th. Watch the video below.
The new video comes a day after Del Rey shared the album’s tracklist and artwork. Along with revealing the artwork, she posted a comment acknowledging the diversity of people described on the album cover (who also appear in her new music video). “These are my friends, this is my life,” she wrote. “We are all a beautiful mix of everything – some more than others, which is visible and celebrated in everything we do.” She wrote that “she was always extremely inclusive, without even trying” and called on anyone who makes “comments again about a WOC / POC issue” – apparently a reference to the shouts on social media in a post from May 2020 on Instagram.
Chemtrails Over the Country Club follows Del Rey’s 2019 album Fucking Norman Rockwell! She previously distributed the single “Let me love you like a woman” and performed it Tonight’s show with Jimmy Fallon.
