Lakeland Magic in the top of the Delaware Blue Coats to win the NBA G League title

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Florida – Devin Cannady scored 22 points and Lakeland Magic won the NBA G League on Thursday, defeating the Delaware Blue Coats 97-78 at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Cannady, a Princeton goalie, was 9 of 16 on the field, hitting 4 of 9 triples in the final of the eight-team, single-elimination tournament at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Former Michigan center Jon Teske had 12 points for Lakeland. Former Arkansas-Little Rock guard Rayjon Tucker led Delaware by 20 points, and former Arkansas guard Isaiah Joe had 15 points.

Lakeland was ranked sixth in the playoffs after finishing the regular season game 9-6. Magic opened the playoffs Monday with a 139-110 victory over Erie BayHawks and defeated the Santa Cruz Warriors 108-96 in the semifinals on Tuesday.

Delaware was the No. 4 seed in 10-5.
