LOS ANGELES – LA Clippers will have their superstar duo at their disposal on Friday night when they will face the Utah Jazz, the leader of the league, both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George will return from injuries.
Both returned to the starting line after George missed the previous seven games with a swollen right toe and Leonard split the previous three with a contusion of his lower left foot.
“They were good and the body reacted well to the workouts they did,” said coach Tyronn Lue. “This is tonight.”
The Clippers’ starting lineup is complete again, with Nic Batum also returning after missing the previous two games with a contusion. Backing guard Luke Kennard is also available to play after missing the last game with a painful knee.
George stayed out until the pain and swelling subsided in his toe.
“I just know [George] there is no pain and the swelling has decreased, “Lue said.” He’s done a few things on the basketball court in the last few days and he’s been fine. No pain, no problems … both [pain and swelling] they left. “
Utah threw the short Clippers on Wednesday and enter Friday’s game, winning 20 of the last 21.
