After the Yankees’ victory over Toronto, Jack “CouRage” Dunlop, a popular internet personality and co-owner of Esports, wrote on the team’s Twitter, writing, “@Yankees get a Kyle Higashioka tattoo on me.” A bold move that was probably fueled by Higashioka’s stellar offensive performance, as well as his direct chemistry with pitcher Gerrit Cole.
“It’s true,” Higashioka replied to Dunlop’s tweet.
Dunlop he simply replied: “Sh-t …”.
Higashioka hasn’t responded yet, but many Twitter users have found the exchange hilarious. Others jokingly called Dunlop because he got on the Higashioka wagon after his continuous progress behind the board and at the bat.
Higashioka was a bright spot for the Yankees and is the popular backup for Gary Sanchez. Cole, the ace of the team, evolved much more consistently with Higashioka than Sanchez.
