Rumors circulating today, coming from a week-long press release, suggest that the Japanese entertainment conglomerate Konami has closed its video game division. Konami assures us no.
One press release dated January 15 the Japanese company announced the dissolution of the three production divisions, along with the relocation of staff for employees who previously handled production departments. What is happening in that announcement, according to an official statement given Kotaku from Konami, it’s just a consolidation of departments.
The statement says “The announcement made refers to an internal restructuring, the production divisions being consolidated. We haven’t closed our video game division. ”
So don’t worry, Konami will continue to do that fish playing football and everything else he does these days. Yu-Gi-Oh and so.
