Mitchell Robinson play the fourth game back from a broken hand on Saturday night. Now, the Knicks center the numbers to be out for the predictable, with another part of the body broken.
Robinson suffered a fractured right leg in the middle of the first quarter against the Milwaukee Bucks after falling stingher from a jump and eventually descending from the floor. He will be reevaluated on Sunday back in New York, the team said.
Robinson, 22, had recently missed 15 games with a broken hand.
The Knicks were already without All-Star striker Julius Randle (bruised right thigh). They still have Nerlens Noel and Taj Gibson as backup centers.
Robinson’s crushing injury came as the Knicks bent over to make a big move for newly acquired center Andre Drummond, The Post reported, Marc Berman. Robinson’s injury may change Knicks’ plans.
The Lakers have established themselves as leaders for Drummond, according to ESPN.
