It looks like Kingdom Hearts III he could have hidden a teaser in the game that could tell players where the series is headed in the future. Although the newly discovered information could be related to anything else, what is described seems to align with what we know about the future of the Kingdom Hearts franchise as a whole.
Seen on Reddit by Blubbpaule, it looks like the back of the box Verum Rex, which is a fictional game that appears in Kingdom Hearts III, could provide some teasing about where the series is going. For those who have finished the whole Kingdom Hearts III, and its accompanying Re Mind DIC, Verum Rex ends up playing a pretty important role, as his world is one in which Sister gets trapped inside. In the events of Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, it is discovered that the name of this world in which the Sister is is specifically called Quadratum.

As for how this boxed copy of Verum Rex can tease the future of the series, it seems to provide some details about the Quadratum as a whole. The box contains mentions of the “King of Truth” and also seems to encourage players to “claim your heart”. However, whether or not he is supposed to be referring to Sister specifically is not clear. Something called “Karma” is also mentioned, but it is not certain what it could be. At this point, Kingdom Hearts III failed to say anything about Karma, but if this is really a teaser as we think it is, we could see it mentioned more in future posts.
Whatever the truth, it seems that Square Enix is playing 4D chess again when it comes to the Kingdom Hearts story. This is a series that has been played with its fans for a long time when it comes to building the world, and assuming that this teasing is actually meant to be a teasing, it is not surprising to see this again.
The only downside is that at this point, it looks like the next main Kingdom Hearts game could be quite far away. Fortunately, if you haven’t played any entries in the series yet, almost the entire saga will hit PC later this month, on March 30th.
