“Bridgerton” star Nicola Coughlan told Kim Kardashian about her inspiration for the show, and the reality TV personality couldn’t have been happier.
Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington on the hit Netflix series, wrote on Twitter on Tuesday that the Kardashians “were a massive inspiration for the Featheringtones” and a common topic of conversation during Regency-era drama sets.
She also claimed a connection between her corset in the show and one made for Kardashian. “You’ve been part of the Bridgerton world longer than you know,” Coughlan wrote.
Kardashian was beyond happy on the news.
“I was scared !!!!!” she replied, to Coughlan’s delight and amazement, before asking if this made her “an honorary duchess of Bridgerton.”
“Why, of course, Duchess Kardashian of Calabasas!” Coughlan replied, before entering the character as the show’s alter ego: “Lady Whistledown is happy to declare you the true incomparable season.”
