
KDE developer Nate Graham, who has made many contributions to KDE in recent years and is well known for his weekly KDE development summaries, has released a roadmap for 2021.
Building on the complex involvement of all things KDE, Nate has released a roadmap for New Year’s Day, analyzing the likely accomplishments for the desktop environment this year.
Items in the 2021 roadmap include delivering a “production-ready” Plasma Wayland session, properly managing your KDE stack fingerprint support, completing the Breeze Evolution icon, creating a replacement for the Kickoff launcher, and text rendering support. On the roadmap for last year were elements such as improved discovery of Samba sharing in the Dolphin file manager, automatic rotation for tablets, better wallpapers, X11 scale factors on the screen and other elements addressed mainly during the calendar year. .
