Where are we going from here?
Tekken 7 ended its fourth season of content this week with the release of Lidia Sobieska, who now has players wondering what the future of the fighting game will hold.
One fan in particular decided to go to the source to try to find an answer if Tekken 7 or Soul Calibur 6 will receive additional DLC, and Katsuhiro Harada took the time to give them an answer in this regard.
Since he obviously won’t be announcing Tekken Season 5 alone on Twitter, the head of Bandai Namco offers a fairly open answer to how they managed the game.

With the release of Lidia just a few days ago, one would think that a potential season 5 would not yet be lit in green by the higher growths, although Harada certainly has a game plan for both scenarios.
Many felt from the beginning of the season 4 announcement that this last passage could be the last, because it contained fewer characters and content compared to the others, with only two fighters, stages and technically updated net code.
Whatever the next project of the Tekken team, it is almost certainly quite far in the development phase, especially considering how small season 4 was, although everything will be reduced until Bamco decides to press that trigger.

However, there is a good argument for continuing to support Tekken 7 with more content so far, as the game has managed to reach 7 million copies sold with the last million, all coming in the last 6 months or so.
People are still playing Tekken 7. People are still buying Tekken 7, so it would make sense if Bandai Namco wanted to come out in a final season like Street Fighter 5.
Soul Calibur 6’s prospects of receiving a third season are less likely to happen, but for a few reasons.
Unlike Tekken and Dragon Ball FighterZ, Bandai Namco never said exactly how well it managed to sell the SC6 even two and a half years later, which is not exactly the most promising sign.
Currently, it is almost four months away from the launch of Hwang as the most recent, without talking too much about the game. Bandai Namco said earlier that Hwang will be the last character before withdrawing this statement
All of Bandai Namco’s main fighting games have nothing announced on the horizon, so it’s a bit dark if the publisher is ready to move on or continue to support what it is now.
Dragon Ball FighterZ was specifically mentioned to be planned for several balance updates this year, although they didn’t say anything about the content either.
