Katharine McPhee gives birth, meets her son with David Foster

Katharine McPhee will now sing lullabies for her new bundle of joy.

The 36-year-old singer welcomed her first child, a little boy, together with her husband David Foster, aged 71, her representative on Page Six confirmed on Wednesday.

“Mother, father and son are doing great,” her People’s Representative said in a statement.

McPhee, who has been married to Foster since June 2019, first fueled speculation about the pregnancy in October, when the “American Idol” alum was photographed showing the baby’s swelling. Sources later confirmed the pregnancy to People.

Foster, the Grammy Award winner, has five older daughters from previous relationships: Amy, Erin, Sara, Jordan and Allison.

Foster and McPhee were first tied up in 2017 and debuted on the red carpet at the Met Gala a year later. In July 2018, the couple got engaged during their vacation on the Italian island of Capri.

“He did it on top of this mountain in Anacapri,” McPhee posted on Instagram at the time.

“Stars are completely dark. Luckily he didn’t push me off the cliff. He said that he was one of the others and in the end he spared me “, she continued.

McPhee was previously married to Nick Cokas, while this is Foster’s fifth marriage. He was previously married to BJ Cook, Rebecca Dyer, Linda Thompson and, more recently, Yolanda Hadid. The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star filed for divorce in January 2016.

A McPhee representative did not immediately return the request for comment.
