In a case from 2015, Karim Benzema will go to trial for complicity in a blackmail case with a video with sexual content
French footballer Karim Benzema (Real Madrid) will be tried for complicity in the case of blackmail with a video with sexual content and the player Mathieu Valbuena, the Versailles Court prosecutor’s office announced on Thursday.
“The decision to sue him is absurd and unjust cruelty,” the player’s lawyer, Sylvain Cormier, told Efe, for whom “Benzema has nothing to complain about in this summary.”
The case dates back to 2015, when two men who had an alleged intimate video with Valbuena with his wife tried to blackmail him and, given his refusal, contacted a childhood friend of Benzema to get mediation from Madridista, who spoke with a concentration of the French team.
