Kansas City Chiefs Daniel Kilgore leaves COVID-19 list after close contact with barber

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The bosses, on the eve of Super Bowl LV, made a lot of list moves, including activating the Daniel Kilgore reserve center from the reserve list / COVID-19.

Kilgore is eligible to play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He had been placed on the reserve list and had failed to practice with the bosses this week after close contact with a barber who tested positive for COVID-19.

Kilgore went through Saturday’s march with the chiefs before leaving for Tampa, Florida.

All COVID-19 tests for bosses and buccaneers returned negative on Saturday, sources told Adam Schefter of ESPN. The teams will test again on Sunday, the results being generally known later in the evening.

The Chiefs also activated Deon Yelder from the injured reserve and promoted three players from the training team, including quarterback Matt Moore. In addition to Moore, defensive end Chris Lammons and wide receiver Marcus Kemp were removed from the training team.

Kansas City also placed starting left-back Eric Fisher and defender Willie Gay in the injured reserve. None of them trained this week, and the bosses declared them for the Super Bowl in the final report of the week’s injury.

Information from ESPN’s Dianna Russini was used in this report.
