A kangaroo was caught in a video that punched an Australian man while trying to protect his children from the mad marsupial, according to news.com.au.
The frightening attack took place on Christmas Day in the South West Rocks, where Mitchell Robinson tried to drive away the animal, which was lingering and digging holes in his property.
The kangaroo jumped at the man, knocking him to the ground before escaping.
Family friend Tina Grace Rowe told a Down Under news station that you could see the attack coming.
“She just looked at him and took something to try to push him away, and as soon as she did, you could only see that she was going to turn to him,” Rowe told 7NEWS.
“It simply came to our notice then. It was a big male kangaroo – a big trunk “, she added.
Robinson, who already had a broken arm, fortunately escaped with just a scratch, according to the post.
