Kamala Harris, Bill Clinton to deliver a speech on the impact of a pandemic on women

Vice President Harris and former President Clinton will have a one-on-one meeting Friday as part of the Clinton Global Initiative University’s 13th annual meeting, where they will discuss the impact of the pandemic on women.

The meeting, held in conjunction with Howard University, Harris’ alma mater, will feature: “A one-on-one meeting with President Clinton and Vice President Kamala HarrisKamala Harris The Hill’s Morning Report – Biden: Back to the future on immigration, Afghanistan, Iran Future of the GOP? The call begins at 3:25 PM EDT.

The virtual gathering will “bring together 600 students from around the world who have made Commitments to Act – new, specific and measurable initiatives addressing pressing challenges,” wrote the Clinton Foundation.

The conference will explore topics on restoring trust in democracy, environmental justice, COVID-19 restoration and creating systemic change, according to the Clinton Foundation.

The event, which will take place Tuesday through Friday, is hosted by former President Clinton, Chelsea Clinton and Howard University.

Launched in 2007, the Clinton Global Initiative University is a leadership development program of the Clinton Foundation to “ engage the next generation of leaders and is based on the belief that no one is too young to make a difference and bring about positive change in their communities, ”said the Clinton Foundation statement.
