Justin Bieber heads to the Los Angeles studio, amid an offer for the number one Christmas in the UK, in collaboration with the NHS choir

He recently joined the NHS choir Lewisham and Greenwich to launch a charity performance of the mega-hit Holy and Chance the Rapper.

And Justin Bieber returned creative on Friday as he headed to a recording studio in Burbank, California.

The 26-year-old Canadian superstar came out in a relaxing style, wearing a black T-shirt with a smiling face from his Drew clothing line with logo training pants.

With a branded white knitted shirt that rested over his long, wavy mane, hitmaker Sorry completed his relaxed ensemble with white Nike basketball shoes.

The star’s idea comes as she launches an offer for the coveted number one Christmas spot after teaming up with NHS singers for a remake of her song Holy.

In 2015, the star was beaten by the choir when their charity single, A Bridge Over You, became the number one Christmas song in the UK, for her hit Love Yourself.

At the time, the singer encouraged millions of Twitter followers to buy the NHS song to help her reach the top of the charts.

Justin and the choir recently reunited to record the new version of Holy, with all the profits for NHS Charities Together and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Charity – to support the front-line medical workers of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The choir recorded the new song at London’s iconic Abbey Road studios, with Justin saying:

Especially in these difficult times, I am humble to team up with them for a charity single that will benefit NHS workers on the front lines of this pandemic and pay homage to their incredible dedication.

Caroline Smith, a physiotherapist for the children’s community and NHS choir leader Lewisham and Greenwich, added: “Justin Bieber helped make our dreams come true in 2015 and is doing the same this year.

“We really can’t thank him enough for the chance to work with him on this wonderful, uplifting piece. We are so proud to represent Lewisham and the Greenwich NHS Trust and all the NHS heroes.

In 2015, Justin was widely praised for his altruistic gesture after posting on Twitter: “So for a week it’s good not to be # 1. Let’s do the right thing and help them win. It’s Christmas. @Choir_NHS good luck. (chic)’

The “Yummy” singer later met with the choir members to congratulate them.

The contenders had been ready for a week in 2015, with only 622 sales between them on Christmas Eve – but the choir enjoyed a late boost, leading them to the top of the yuletide chart with 31,000 singles.

They ended with a total combined sales of the chart of over 127,000 copies. Instead, Bieber sold about 97,000 copies of his single, according to a press release sent to MailOnline.

The battle for Christmas no. 1 was the closest to Rage Against The Machine’s glittering victory over Joe McElderry in X Factor in 2009 with their song, Killing In The Name.

The NHS choir of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, midwives and administrative staff was formed by TV chorister Gareth Malone in 2012 during his program “The Choir: Sing while you work”.

In May, Justin donated profits from Stuck With U, his charity single with Ariana Grande to the American charity First Responders Children’s Foundation, which supports first responders and their families.

Although Justin is clearly excited about Christmas, the singer and songwriter is just as hyped for his upcoming New Year’s Eve performance.

“See you in preparation for the New Year,” wrote Bieber, who shared a rehearsal photo with his fans on Tuesday.

He first began sharing teasers of the show on Monday, writing, “Gettin ready for this live New Year’s show, make sure you check it out.”

Earlier this year, Bieber released his fifth studio album Changes, which featured his hit single Yummy.

It is unclear whether the star will perform / debut new songs during her New Year’s Eve spot or whether she will give fans a taste of what she had planned for her Changes tour.

Before the coronavirus pandemic was blocked in March, Justin had planned to visit his latest record, the first time set for June 2.

But, unfortunately, the tour was postponed by force due to health and safety issues COVID-19.
