Justin Bieber rejects reports that he is training to become a man in clothes.
The “Saint” singer took to social networks on Monday reject applications that he entered the ministry at the controversial Hillsong Church, whose famous pastor Carl Lentz was recently fired after revelations about alleged adultery.
“I’m not studying to be a minister or anything like that,” he wrote, in all capital letters, in his “Stories” on Instagram, at the top of a screenshot of the title on page six last week. “THEY HAVE NO WISH FOR THIS IS FALSE NEWS”
The story quoted a source as saying OK! “He wants to be a full-fledged minister next year.”
In his denial, the 26-year-old pop star continued: “AND BTW HILLSONG IS NOT MY CHURCH .. FOR CLARITY I AM A PART OF THE CHURCH” – naming a non-denominational ministry based on the West Coast, which preaches a distant fellowship among his celebrities. congregants, who are known to attend services in Hillsong while on the East Coast, according to a 2019 Marie Claire report.
He went on to explain his faith, adding, “The church is not a place,” and said he “does not need a building to connect with God.”
“God is with us wherever we are,” he wrote.
In November, Hillsong’s elders confirmed that church leader Carl Lentz, a close friend of Bieber’s, had resigned after claiming he had engaged in an extramarital affair with a Brooklyn fashion designer.
The Manhattan campus of Hillsong Global Church is now being investigated by church officials, who have since discovered possible evidence of embezzlement by other local branch leaders. A former “pastor on duty” in Hillsong, Los Angeles, also recently told The Post that the house of worship had become a “cult” and would assume that it would demand “slave labor” from its owners.
This is perhaps the only time Bieber has publicly addressed Hillsong since the fall, apart from reports that his wife, Hailey Baldwin, did not follow former pastor Lentz on Instagram.
