Juanchy Sanchez, 63, a shareholder in the Águilas Cibaeñas baseball team, died this afternoon in Santiago.
Juanchy had been an intern at Homs Hospital in Santiago for several weeks in a tough fight against Covid-19.
His death was reported by his brother Carlos and confirmed by President Águilas Cibaeñas, Quilvio Hernández.
Juanchy has been the majority shareholder of the Eagles for more than 10 years and has been a supporter of the team at his company Comercializadora Deportiva.
At the end of last year, he suffered a spectacular accident in the collision of the bites in the waters of Montecristi. He underwent several surgeries on various parts of his body.
