Juan Guillermo Cuadrado is still the Colombian footballer of the moment. The one who is in the Italian elite and stands out from time to time, with his game with Juventus.

The player, having a wonderful season, accumulates the best prizes in each round of Serie A. But now he has received a special compliment from a symbol of Juventus, the former Uruguayan defender Paolo Montero.

Montero, invited to analyze the news of the Turin club, in a live broadcast on the Juve channel, spoke about DT Andrea Pirlo and the club icons.

When asked about Cuadrado, he compared him to Garrincha, a famous Brazilian footballer who marked an era in his country’s national team, with two world titles, and in clubs such as Botafogo, Corinthians and even Junior de Barranquilla.

“He makes a difference more than Cristiano Ronaldo. He looks like Garricha: he’s impressive,” said Montero, who played for Juventus between 1996 and 2005 and is now a coach.

Cuadrado stands out for his ability, but in recent years he has grown in his team game, playing as a right defender. In addition, he became a luxury assistant in Italian Calcio.
