Jonas Neubauer, the legendary Tetris player, has died

Forever a champion

The gaming world has lost one of its great weeks. Jonas Neubauer, known for his extraordinary ability in Tetris, died on January 4. He was only 39 years old.

Neubauer is the most accomplished classic Tetris player in history. During his competitive career, he won seven Classical Tetris World Championships, winning four years in a row from 2010 to 2013 and achieving three rehearsals from 2015 to 2017. He also set multiple records, including in 2018 when he eliminated 100 lines in three minutes and nine seconds. This moment is now the second fastest in the world.
