Huber fought for WWE and more recently for All-Elite Wrestling (AEW). His wife, Amanda Huber, said on Instagram that her husband “passed away from his loved ones after a hard fight with a lung problem that is not related to COVID.” According to Huber’s wife, he was being treated by doctors at the Mayo Clinic.
Amanda Huber wrote:
I never wanted to write those words. My heart is broken. People saw him as the amazing @brodielee (fka Luke Harper), but he was my best friend, my husband and the greatest father you would ever meet. No word can express the love I feel or how broken I am now. He was surrounded by his loved ones after a hard fight with a lung problem that was not related to Covid. @Mayoclinic is literally the best team of doctors and nurses in the world who has surrounded me with a constant love. “

“In an industry full of good people, Jon Huber was exceptionally respected and loved in every way – a fierce and captivating talent, an attentive mentor and simply a very kind soul who strongly contradicted his personality as Mr. Brodie Lee. AEW wrote a tribute to Huber.
WWE said Huber “found success at every stop in his sports entertainment career, as his talkative but imposing presence helped him create countless amazing moments in the ring.”
Huber fought for the WWE for eight years, most often as a member of the Wyatt family, before debuting for AEW in March as the leader of The Dark Order.
WWE Brand Director Stephanie McMahon said: “I am very sorry for the loss of Jon Huber. We are connected to the love of our children. He was a real family man. “
AEW President Tony Khan said: “I am devastated by the loss of Jon Huber, known to fans as Mr Brodie Lee, former Luke Harper. Jon was a great man. His family came first, his loving wife Amanda and their sons Brodie + Nolan. He liked the fight and it was great at that, he loved you fans. Please keep it in your hearts.
Huber is a former NXT Tag Team Champion, Intercontinental Champion and SmackDown Tag Team Champion in the WWE. He won the TNT Championship in AEW.
He is survived by his wife and two children.
