It seems that John Stamos was quite “disappointed” by the fact that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen did not resume their common role as Michelle Tanner in “Fuller House”, the Netflix series “Full House”.
When Stamos and his “Big Shot” co-star Yvette Nicole Brown sat down with Andy Cohen for a virtual appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” a couple of sisters called to ask about a few things.
The women asked 57-year-old Stamos how emotional it was for him to film the finale of the “Fuller House” series, which aired last year. They also asked if he was “surprised” that the Olsenians had never made a cameo on the show.
Stamos said that the ending for “Full House” was “exciting”, emphasizing that when we did the original series, we were canceled and we knew a week before and we were just doing one last regular show. I never did the final show. So it was pretty emotional. ”
He revealed that his last day on the set for “Fuller House” was full of his own tumult, as he had to “make all these cries” for his “Fuller House” scenes and then “scream and scream.” ”While filming scenes for“ Big Shot ”on Disney +.
Cohen then pressed Stamos on the Olsen twins, asking, “Were you surprised that the Olsenes never appeared on the show, or did you know when they said ‘We don’t’ that they don’t? ‘
Stamos said he and the rest of the cast were “disappointed, but I get it.”
“I remember Lori [Loughlin] telling me, “They won two or three CFDAs [Fashion] Awards. “It’s like winning two or three Oscars,” he explained. “If you won three Oscars, would you come back and do that? I was like, “Hey, maybe not.” ”
Looks like the producers tried to bring Olsens on board for the show’s first Netflix season in 2016. Producer Bob Boyett told people at the time that Ashley told him, “I haven’t been in front of a camera since I was 17 and I don’t feel comfortable playing. ”
“Mary-Kate said, ‘It should be me, because Ash doesn’t want to do it.’ But the timing is so bad for us, “Boyett said.
