Joan Laporta he won the Barcelona presidential election decisively. In the absence of official data, the former president of the club between 2003 and 2010 was almost 60 percent of the more than 57 thousand votes cast (among staff and by mail) in which became the elections with the highest turnout in the history of the club.
According to a first survey of TV3, Laporta would have exceeded 58% of the votes, followed by 31% of the votes Victor Font and 9.3 percent for Toni Freixa. However, the poll only took into account voters at the Camp Nou, not entering the 20,662 votes by mail or, alternatively, those cast in the six remaining polling stations in Catalonia.
Laporta already knew that he would be a favorite early in the morning, which meant his joy throughout the day, which contrasts with the seriousness of a Font who, as the weeks passed, realized that his project would not be able to face the charisma of the winner.
Barça, socially immersed, needed a change. And what the Barça partner voted for was a real revolution. He did it in 2003, with a magnificent result, and so it is understood that he did it again in 2021.
