Of all the movie universes that have emerged since Marvel and Disney finally proved that a massive, company-wide movie crossover could make you billions upon billions of dollars if you actually well done, few have been built after transparency as transparent as Bad Robot and Paramount presumed Cloverfield movie franchise. Say what you like about the modeled remnants of Universal’s dark universe, but at least most of the (mostly hypothetical) gmovies with monsters were created as members of the franchise. While JJ Abrams and his team had a strange tendency to play movies Cloverfield movies after the fact; both 10 Cloverfield Lane and The Cloverfield paradox they were initially conceived as independent projects which then found themselves receiving Cloverfieldhe appeared once Abrams had seized him the scenarios.
All this is noteworthy our surprise today, as variety reports that a Cloverfield continue that actually life began as a Cloverfield continuation is now underway. Indeed, the new film – written by Joe Barton – will presumably serve as an explicit sequel to Abrams’ 2008 monster film, the one that actually started our collective cases of Cloverfield fever, asking us to imagine what it would be like if TJ Miller were the most preternatural in the world dedicated cameraman.
That being said, the image of the original found film will not be repeated for this second (fourth?) Film, due to the fact that it is, well, 2021.
