The athlete from Puerto Rico Jasmine Camacho-Quinn got a 100m hurdles victory on Saturday with a time of 12.32 seconds, to place seventh on the all-time list at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitation in Gainesville, Florida and, in turn, break the national record and record the fastest time this year globally.
With this result, Camacho-Quinn surpassed his mark of 12.40 seconds. This was his second 100 m hurdles race of the year.
“Right now is the best time of the year in the world,” said Luis Dieppa, president of the local athletics federation. “She is OK. She is very strong. He ran well at 200 and 400 meters (sprints) and is still preparing for the Olympics. It’s a matter of staying healthy, “added Dieppa.

In Gainesville, the two-time NCAA champion improved the national record she set in 2018. The 12.20-second world record belongs to Kendra Harrison.
Behind her were British sisters Tiffany Porter and Cindy Sember, who clocked 12.62 seconds, and Brittany Anderson finished fourth with 12.91.
Hurdler – who won his second Olympic ticket after participating in the Rio Games in 2016 – took part in the spring rankings, which took place in Carolina on March 18-20. There he competed in the 4×400 meters relay with Priscila Morales, París García and Gabby Scott. They reached the second position with a record of 3: 36.26, which was not enough for this relay to improve its record in order to qualify for the Olympic Games.
