Japanese manicure: the trend imposed by Rosalía – People – Culture

One of the things that attracted the most attention of the Spanish singer Rosalía is her nails. Ever since his music began to sound, this part of his body has stood out for being extravagant.

However, now it seems to have settled on a more modest and artistic style, known as “Japanese manicure”.

His extravagant style

The “I’m sorry” singer ended up using her nails as another accessory of her style.

Every design she used is loaded with color, shine and eccentric details, which she used to match her wardrobe. In the same way, it was surprising in its extravagant length.

Once, the name of her single “TKN” was part of her manicure, as she wrote it in black on her nails. People’s comments were quick: “What will TKN be?”, Some pointed out. Others praised her nails and a few others came to describe them as “disgusting.”

In fact, Kawajiri had already collaborated with Rosalía on the January cover of Vogue magazine.

What is this trend about?

Japanese manicure is not new. Centuries ago, it was used in the Asian country among high-income families and, over time, became popular among the rest of the population.

For starters, the size of the nails is personal, they can be short or long. In addition, the main feature of this technique is to provide the nails as large as possible to the nails, through moisturizers and other products.

Some people choose not to even apply varnishes or, if they do, they are not so invasive and instead finish their nails with special powders. Others, such as Rosalía, choose to apply nail polish, but keep the size short.
