Japanese charts: Monster Hunter Rise remains in the top of a Nintendo-dominated top ten

Monster Hunter Rise

Figures from Famitsu’s Japanese charts are now available for the week ending April 4, revealing that Monster Hunter Rise is still comfortably in the lead.

The game sold an estimated 277,604 physical copies this week, bringing the total for two weeks to just under 1.6 million in Japan alone. Of course, Capcom has already announced that five million copies of the game have been shipped worldwide, so it’s off to a great start.

The rest of the top ten is a pretty familiar show, with the Switch games taking up nine of those seats. Breaking this trend is the beginning of PS4, Outriders, which debuted in ninth place.

Here are the top ten (the top numbers are this week’s estimated sales, followed by total sales):

Switch sales continue to benefit from the launch of Monster Hunter Rise, although the numbers have fallen compared to last week. In fact, this week marks the end of data tracking for PS4 Pro sales, as the production of the console has ended. Here are this week’s figures, followed by lifetime sales in parentheses:
