Japan says it is dumping a million tons of Fukushima wastewater into the sea

The Japanese government has urged everyone to relax over its recently announced plan to dump more than a million tonnes of contaminated water from the destroyed Fukushima nuclear power plant. The Chinese government has criticized the decision as “extremely irresponsible”, saying Japan was intentionally ignoring the potential damage.
