James Marsden reveals that he refused the role of Magic Mike in the face of the fear of “just being an extra runner with a g-string”

But a successful film that James Marsden aired was the male comedy strip Mike Magic.
During an appearance on James Corden’s The Late Late Show, 47-year-old Marsden admitted that he now regrets refusing the role he was offered in Steven Soderbergh.

“There were a few things I said not in the past and I’m glad I said no and a few things that if I could do it again, I would do it,” the actor said on Tuesday night at Corden.
Marsden explained that he passed on the role due to “lack of courage.”
“I was afraid I would be edited from the movie and all my lines would be cut out and I would just be an extra runner with a rope,” he joked.
He added: “I have friends and family who still think it was a wise idea for me not to do it, because they don’t want to see me like that.”

Launched in 2012, Magic Mike played Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Matthew McConaughey.
The comedy-drama focuses on Tatum’s character, Mike, who earns his living as a stripper at the Xquisite Strip Club in Tampa, Florida, owned by former Dallas stripper, played by McConaughey.
The film strengthened Tatum as a leading man and also helped consolidate the big-screen careers of Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer.
