Jacob Trouba came out at least a month in a huge Ranger shot

The Rangers’ injury problems have just gotten worse.

Jacob Trouba left Tuesday’s 5-2 loss to the Devils, with an upper body injury, and on Wednesday the Rangers announced that the defender will be out in four to six weeks because of this.

It’s just the latest hit for Rangers, who played Tuesday’s starless wing game Artemi Panarin (lower body) and promising debutant defender K’Andre Miller (upper body), who were both labeled as day with day. The Rangers are also without center Philip Chytil, who is in the middle of his own recovery four to six weeks after an upper body injury.

Trouba, whose regular partner was Miller, averaged 21:40 ice time in 14 games, the second highest of all skaters behind his blue teammate Adam Fox.

Veteran defender Jack Johnson came out with an inguinal strain, but coach David Quinn said Monday he hopes Johnson can start practicing again this week.
