Santo Domingo, RD.
Victor -Ito- Bisonó, Minister of Industry, Trade and SMEs, said that the stability or decline in fuel prices in the country would be an “enigma”, as various factors affect prices.
He reiterated that the government, through the direct ministry, has assumed part of the burden to be recorded on Friday, in which prices are normalized.
In January last year, Bisonó said he expected fuel to drop in March.
“It seems like the world has had the perfect storm, when it’s not a pandemic, it’s cold, when it’s not snowing in Texas, it’s not snowing in 100 years, when it’s not bombing Saudi Arabia, when it’s not that something new is being discovered and stock markets are growing and that’s what we’re going through, “Bisonó told reporters this afternoon.
Last Friday, after an increase of about 10 pesos in gasoline, industry and trade announced that they had frozen all fuel prices.
For the week of March 6-12, premium gasoline sells for $ 242.10 per gallon; regular gasoline at about RD $ 228.50 per gallon; regular diesel sells for $ 181.60 RD, and the optimal one for $ 197.50 RD per gallon.
Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is priced at RD $ 128.10 per gallon and natural gas at RD $ 28.97 per cubic meter.
